Free Search Engine Submission Site
Now it's time to start telling the world about my sites, drive traffic through them and generate some income from advertising and from selling stuff through the shops. To start with I need to submit to as many search engines as possible. Now there are plenty of free search engines to submit to, Google and Yahoo being the most obvious, but I've just found a great web tool for submitting for free to a whole host.
I'd been looking at Webposition Gold (which gives you a very limited trial download) when I came across this:

Now these guys offer a fantastic trial. No limits to the number of urls or websites you can submit into search engines and a really large number of reports as well. Other features open up as you start to pay cash but the basics you get for free are excellent. I'd highly recommend giving it a go. Just go to the Webcoe website to download.

Increase Revenue with Multiple Amazon Regions
Now something that escaped me up until recently was the fact that once you have a webstore running through Amazon Affiliates and Associate-o-matic you can build slight variations of them for Amazon in other regions of the world. For example I setup www.ipods-andgadgets.co.uk for the UK Amazon site and have now expanded to the USA with www.ipods-andgadgets.com and www.ipods-andgadgets.com/ca for Canada. Very little extra work, the cost of an extra domain name but it could increase your revenue significantly.

Advertising the Sites
Ok so I've got the sites out there, waiting for people to browse through them ut strangely no one is coming. Well this is hardly unsurprising because the bloging side of this is going to take a while to filter through and also because I've not done any advertising. Now I don't think paid advertising is really going to work for me, it'll just cost too much but I think it's probably worth it in the short term just to start getting search engines picking me up.
It's also useful because I can start to monitor visitors usegae to my site, how long they come for, where do they come from, and how man of them leave just by looking at my front page. All useful info but impossible to gather untill you have atleast a few visitors. So I'm going to carefully setup up some keyword based ads, using the Google Adwords service. This is relatively to do and you can also set how much per day you want to spend on avertising. To start with I've thrown a fiver a day a Pokerforce.co.uk and also at www.alphagadgets.co.uk
Lets see what happens!

Creating some shops with associate-o-matic
Now one of the best ways I've seen to create money online is through the use of refferal schemes. A personal favourite is Amazon. Now the good thing about them is that the more items you sell the better your comssion rate which can rise as high as 8 percent. Fantastic! Now you sign up to the Amazon refferal system at the bottom of any of their pages and then you can build very manually a site selling stuff or else compliment an existing site by suggesting relevant items from Amazon.
However I really want to build a shop quickly, with both my gadget and poker shop I've built them with an application called www.associate-o-matic.com It's a very, very clever piece of software where you enter keywords for the shop you want to generate, say an MP3 shop and it does everything for you. You need a bit of tech savy but I was able to create two shops really quickly with it, You also get a 30 day trial.

Blog Submission to Search Engines

Now one of the important aspects of generating revenue from the websites is to start getting traffic moving through them. Blogging is apparently a good way of doing this. To start with this very blog needs a bit of submission to all the various sites.
Even if these blog sites themselves don't get many visits they will intern get 'spidered' or looked at by search engines sunch as google. So I need to generate lots of submissions of this blog and to do this I'm using:

Now if this doesn't work you'll never get to read this blog so I hope it does. You can see the screen grab of the interface. Basically you get the option to add as many blogs as you want. You enter the basic name of the blog and other details then you click throught the provided lists of blog submission sites. The sites appear on the left with your details autofilled in and you can just hit submit. That's the theory anyway. Sometimes you had to enter in a password or wait to be emailed back till you could hit the final submit. That's not the fault of the software but more the programming of the submission systems of the sites. Most were very straightforward. It dramatically increased my submission rate for getting my blog known about and I can use it on all my future blogs which I'll be creating (or generating a lot of). To actually generate the amount of money I want I'll also be looking at Dave's Cool Little Website, I don't know yet how well it'll work but the principles look good.

Blogger and AdSense
Now I haven't really commented on the Blogging system I'm using to keep everyone up to date with this little project. I chose Blogger because it was free, fast and very user friendly. Since I started I've also discovered that the templates are easily editable and can also be used from inserting AdSense advertising from Google. This is completely integrated with the Blogger system and is very easy to do.
As I intend make use of advertising income to get things going Blogger has turned out to be perfect for my needs. By the way I make no money by recommending Blogger, it's just a darn good system!
To have a go with blogger yourself visit: www.blogger.com
Also if you want to sign up to Googles Adsense programme check them out here: Google AdSense

First Websites
Ok time to start creating some websites, these are going to be two niche shops. One called Poker Force, the other alpha Gadgets.
I've registered the domains which has cost me another £45 each!!! Time start making some money back. I guess I have to be patient. So here they are:
www.pokerforce.co.uk
www.alphagadgets.co.uk
The reason the hosting isn't dirt cheap is because I need to be able to run scripts and things on them. Also I really don't know how much traffic the sites are going to take so I need to make sure there is suitable bandwidth for lots of users.
Now I need to generate some content for the sites but that's for another day.
Here's the folk I used to register my domains with. I was keen with the unlimited bandwidth side of things.

Paypal Support Created
Ok I want to be able to recieve money from people and companies on the web so I've set up a Paypal account. The most obvious way this is visible is on the donate page of the site.

Paypal is good for users and businesses is because it provides both with a secure way of processing orders and sending and recieving money.
